A good way to figure out a good content strategy is to reverse engineer what other successful vape shops are doing and copy them.

When I say copy I don’t mean you should steal their content, but rather use their content as a template for what your vape business should be posting,

This is a simple, but effective strategy that should fuel your ideas for your Instagram page.

To find great posts and pages simply go over to Instagram and use the search feature at the top of the page to search for a popular vaping hashtag.

For example in the picture below we used the hashtag #vape. This automatically pulled up a list of the most popular vape related posts.

Step 2: Create an organized & focused page.

When someone visits your vape shop page, they should immediately know what they are getting when they follow you.

A good idea is to plan out a range of topics then run a picture sequence related to the topic. In the example below we can see a tricks sequence, however you could use this same idea to show a set of images around a theme.

 For example it could be juice or DIY mods. It's really up to you to just look at some of the best posts and pages and start to list out ideas for your shops page.

The goal is to figure out 1 or 2 related things to post about and post that exclusively.

Wotofo is all about DIY vaping, so we make sure all of our posts are related to our industry, brand and products.

It’s tempting to venture into random pictures, but know that these pictures actually hinder your growth. Don't move off topic, your fan base will start unfollowing you if they start getting a bunch of pictures unrelated to your niche.

 

Step 3: Make Your Instagram Vape Shop Page Images Pop

Your page needs to be beautiful. It’s an eye sore to look at a page without any semblance of good design. Each picture should be very well thought out.

On Instagram image quality counts, so if you have a good camera, lighting and/or great locations my advice is to use them. Also Instagram users like to see products in action rather than sterile image shots.

It's actually better to see a picture of someone with a vape in their pocket than a simple product shot. So keep this in mind when thinking about what to post.

This is where your eye for detail & design really matter. I see too many pages with content that just doesn’t look good to the eye.
